I want to have some deer in my area?
Next year I plan to hunt a lot? I live in the country so their is plenty of open fields patches of forest and some large some small. I'm not sure if their is a lot of deer around here I see from time to time. I have a good area explored out and I want to start putting (corn, doe urine, salt lick or whatever rather than good works) to attract some deer around. I'm not sure how many deer not more than their think is a good time to start putting some food to each of their two weeks or what you think? Any advice would you have for me appreciated.
Planting food plots is a critical step in response to a desire for white-tailed deer of the variety of taste and nutrition. Implement a mixture end of the season seasonal plots and principles not only ensures a healthy deer herd, but also a herd on their property will remain forever. Once you determine that your food plot planting, hopefully you will have time to take a soil sample to be analyzed by a local agriculture office. Most of these soil conservation stations will test your soil for a minimal fee, and then suggest nutrients to make their crops grow better. Consideration Next is to decide how their crops are planted. The two most common methods are the plow and the cultures of broadcasting, which is usually the easiest and requires no no expensive implements to carry out. The other and probably the best method is to drill seeds directly in soil. This method requires a planter, which can be an expensive investment. Exercise should be accurately calibrated to implant the seeds in depth. Fertilizer is an expensive addition to a parcel of food, but necessary in the overall management system adequate food web. After a soil test takes the guesswork out of fertilizer work better.

8th in the USS LIBERTY Series: "It Was God That Kept Us Alive"
On January 12, 2008, this civilian journalist "on a mission from God" [Jake Blues/John Belushi] once again phoned a few of the USS LIBERTY survivors and also Robert Hart, who on that day in infamy, June 8, 1967 was a CT/Communications Technician 2nd Class Petty Officer working for the Director of Naval Security Group Europe (DIRNAVSECGRUEUR) in London. DIRNAVSECGRUEUR was the Intelligence support for the Four Star Commander in Chief of US Naval Forces Europe (CINCUSNAVEUR).
Hart quipped, "During the attack on the LIBERTY, I was in the control center of the DIRNAVSECGRUEUR, a part of the Commander of Chief in Europe who was Admiral McCain-you know the Senator's father? I wouldn't buy a used car from either of them!"
Hart then went serious and choked up, "Two of my friends were killed that day. They were both CT's and the CT spaces took the direct hit from the torpedo [that immediately killed 25 servicemen]. Smitty had an English wife and an eighteen month old baby and they were neighbors and friends. Warren Hershey was a drinking buddy of mine.
"I was in the Control Center when the LIBERTY was attacked and read all the messages from the USA to Europe. I knew the 6th Fleet was sending help and it was called back! I knew all about the LIBERTY calling for support that was held back! That is what sticks in my jaw. I was and remain dumbfounded and upset to this very day.
"I am also sure it is a part of the USA government cover-up the way they gave McGonagle his Medal of Honor in a shipyard and not at the White House."
Captain William L. McGonagle's Congressional Medal of Honor reads:
The President of the United States in the name of The Congress takes pleasure in presenting the MEDAL OF HONOR to Captain William L. McGoanagle, United States Navy for service as set forth in the following:
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. Sailing in international waters, the Liberty was attacked without warning by jet fighter aircraft and motor torpedo boats which inflicted many casualties among the crew and caused extreme damage to the ship. Although severely wounded during the first air attack, Capt. McGonagle remained at his battle station on the badly damaged bridge and, with full knowledge of the seriousness of his wounds, subordinated his own welfare to the safety and survival of his command.
Steadfastly refusing any treatment which would take him away from his post, he calmly continued to exercise firm command of his ship. Despite continuous exposure to fire, he maneuvered his ship, directed its defense, supervised the control of flooding and fire, and saw to the care of the casualties. Captain McGonagle's extraordinary valor under these conditions inspired the surviving members of the Liberty's crew, many of them seriously wounded, to heroic efforts to overcome the battle damage and keep the ship afloat. Subsequent to the attack, although in great pain and weak from the loss of blood, Captain McGonagle remained at his battle station and continued to command his ship for more than 17 hours. It was only after rendezvous with a U.S. destroyer that he relinquished personal control of the Liberty and permitted himself to be removed from the bridge. Even then, he refused much needed medical attention until convinced that the seriously wounded among his crew had been treated. Captain McGonagle's superb professionalism, courageous fighting spirit, and valiant leadership saved his ship and many lives. His actions sustain and enhance the finest traditions of the U.S. Naval Service. http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/wlmcgon.htm
The Captain died on March 3, 1999, but the support from his troops never has. On April 10, 1999 the ambushed crew saluted its Captain by writing:
"…Yesterday, the faithful survivors brought their long-dead comrades at Arlington National Cemetery the body of their captain -- a reunion of seamen eternally bound by one of the most bloody and bizarre peacetime encounters in U.S. naval history.
"Captain William L. McGonagle won the Medal of Honor for valiantly commanding the USS Liberty when the American spy ship was attacked by Israeli aircraft and torpedo boats in the Mediterranean during the 1967 Arab-Israeli War.
"Thirty-four U.S. sailors were killed, and 171, including McGonagle, were wounded, among the crew of 300. [Other sources site 174 and 297] Thirteen of the dead -- including the remains of six in the mass grave at the bottom of the hill -- were buried at Arlington .
"The Israelis later apologized. But Liberty survivors, and some former U.S. officials, believe the attack was deliberate, staged to conceal Israel's pending seizure of the Golan Heights, which occurred shortly thereafter." [IBID]
In an email from USS LIBERTY survivor and author of ASSAULT ON THE LIBERTY, James E. Ennes, wrote on January 13, 2008: "I'm not at all sure that is the reason. We may never know the reason. The US was aware of Israeli plans to seize the Golan and was urging them not to do that. It could well have been fear that we had learned of the massacre of Egyptians POWs at El Arish or it could have been the massacre that morning of UN peacekeepers at Gaza ."
"…In December 1964, the Liberty was put to work as a spy ship. Three years later, with McGonagle now in command, it was hurried to the eastern Mediterranean, where the Arab-Israeli war had erupted. Despite the deep concerns of McGonagle and his crew about their proximity to the war, the ship, armed only with a few .50-caliber machine guns, began a slow patrol 12 miles off Gaza.
"The Liberty, code-named "Rockstar," had been denied the protection of a destroyer by superiors who said it was "not a reasonable subject for attack,"…about 2 p.m., after being buzzed by Israeli scout planes, the ship suddenly was assailed by Israeli jets firing rockets and dropping napalm.
"Liberty sailors were gunned down as they scrambled for cover. The machine gun crews were tossed into the air like dolls. Flaming napalm blanketed parts of the ship. Sailors radioed frantically: 'Any station, this is Rockstar. We are under attack.'
"Then, after several passes by the jets, the torpedo boats arrived. After several misses, one struck home, blasting a 40-foot-wide hole below decks and killing 25 men almost instantly. All the while, McGonagle, his right leg riddled with shrapnel, maintained command, hollering orders…
"In one of the most controversial events in U.S. military history, the lightly armed Liberty was attacked by Israeli planes, three torpedo boats and helicopters and was bombed with napalm, torpedoed and shelled on June 8, 1967, while sailing in international waters in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
"Of the 294 men aboard the Liberty, 34 were killed and 171, including Captain McGonagle, were wounded. Though the captain managed to dodge four of five torpedoes, one struck, smashing a 40-foot hole in the ship's side." [IBID]
In an email from Jim Ennes: "The updated wounded count is 174 and three more Purple Hearts have been awarded since the 171 number was reported…I don't think he dodged anything. I think they simply missed. A 450 foot ship moving at five knots doesn't do much dodging."
"A total of 821 rocket and machine-gun holes were later counted in Liberty 's hull. Captain McGonagle had shrapnel wounds in his leg. The attack, which occurred during the Six-Day War between Israel and Arab states, was blamed by the Israelis on a mistaken identification…
"The events, shrouded in tragedy and conflict, have never been resolved. Many of those aboard the Liberty, as well as many senior U.S. officials have taken issue with the Israeli version of events. Some have accused both the U.S. and Israeli governments of concealing vital information about the incident…
"… McGonagle…held his silence for years, torn by loyalty to the Navy and love for his crew and his ship. But even he, in recent years, came to conclude the attack was deliberate…"For many years I have wanted to believe that the attack on the Liberty was pure error," Captain McGonagle said. But "it appears to me that it was not a pure case of mistaken identity. It was, on the other hand, gross incompetence and aggravated dereliction of duty on the part of many officers and men…"[IBID]
This civilian journalist and patriotic American also contends that a total lack of respect for the troops and a blatant cover-up was instituted when the American government ordered traumatized men to never speak the truth of their experiences to family, friends and media and also threatened them with court martial and worse if they did.
This civilian journalist and patriotic American also contends that the down low way of 'honoring' Captain McGonagle with the highest award the USA can give a service men is another nail in the coffin of the American Government's lack of support for our troops and is a vile, revolting, repugnant, loathsome and treasonous display of not representing we the people.
Medals of Honor are media events presented in the White House by the President, but Captain McGonagle's was 'awarded' "in a dark hall in the Naval Shipyard by a low level Secretary of the Navy," Dr. Richard Kiepfer informed me during a January 12, 2008, phone call.
On January 13, 2008, in an email to me Jim Ennes also wrote: "Admiral Moorer told me that he was asked to present it as then-Chief of Naval Operations. He protested strongly that it should be presented by the President. He was unable to make that happen, but did manage to get it kicked up to the Secretary of the Navy."
Kiepfer replied to that comment by stating, "I remember that when I learned who was presenting the highest medal the USA has without even a Cabinet person, or Congressperson in attendance, just a low level secretary of the Navy I thought, who the hell is that? My father was retired Navy and he said it was a slap in the face. My father and I accompanied the Captain, his wife and children to the event. I remember that McGonagle had to make all the reservations for the dinner the night before."
"Medal of Honor winners and their guests are traditionally treated by the United States to a luxurious dinner at a first class restaurant. Captain and Mrs. McGonagle were put up at the Shoreham Hotel…In keeping with the spirit of the affair…someone failed to notify the restaurant…The next morning Navy Secretary Paul Ignatius presented McGonagle's medal in a modest ceremony two miles from the White House. It was done with a minimum of fanfare and almost no publicity at all. It was done while the President was in the White House. And it was done within hours of a White House ceremony in which the President awarded medals to a pair of Vietnam heroes." [James E. Ennes, ASSAULT ON THE LIBERTY, pages 194-195]
Phil Tourney, another LIBERTY survivor and the former President of the USS LIBERTY Vets Association also spoke to me on the phone and clued me in, "The Congressional Medal of Honor is the highest award the USA can give service men. The point is the citation to McGonagle doesn't even mention the fact of who did the attack on the LIBERTY! I got the Bronze Star with Combat V for valor for the LIBERTY that says all this heroic stuff I did, but there is no mention of who did the attack! This is not the usual way these citations read! I received the Vietnam Service Medal and that states I was in the Republic of Vietnam, but no mention in my Bronze Star that I was attacked by Israel aboard the LIBERTY. Every Purple Heart award states who did the attack; who wounded you…In fact, there are guys that got their discharge papers-you know the DD214's-And there is no mention at all that they had ever been on the LIBERTY! 99% of the time the recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor is presented by the President of the United States , but McGonagle's was presented in a Navy shipyard by an undersecretary of the Navy."
Dr. Kiepfer ended our phone conversation by bringing me full circle when he remarked, "Admiral McCain did say he wanted all the citations to state we were attacked by the Israeli Navy and Air Force. But I still wouldn't buy a used car from either of the McCain's or Hillary Clinton!"

Need Something Printed On A T-Shirt?
So does everyone else in the world! You may not have realized it until just now, but there are a lot of t-shirts out there in the world today and just about all of them have some kind of print on them - but where did they come from? Obviously we all can get a printed shirt from the mall or a department store, but where do the department stores get their printed shirts from, and where can someone like me get shirts printed for an event, activity, club or organization?
All the information you need on how to get your shirt printed is right here!
We'll step you through conception of an idea, design, placement on the shirt, and selecting a screen printer.
Conception of a T-Shirt Printing Idea
Before you do anything you must decide on what you need the shirts for. This may sound foolish because you obviously have an idea of what you need t-shirts for or you wouldn't be reading this article! Nonetheless this decision may effect whether or not you are able to skip some steps in the process. For example: If you are a leader of a Cub Scouts pack and need shirts to hand out to the members and are not making any profit on the shirts, you'll need to come up with at least an idea of a design for the shirts you need printed. However, if you're a softball coach seeking to make money to pay for your teams uniforms, maybe you'll opt for a screen printers apparel fundraising programs (which many screen printers do offer).
Fundraising programs allow the customer (you) to give the screen printer a general idea of what you'd like to see in the design of a print (or prints) and what types of garment you'd like to see offered. This type of program puts the burden of design on the screen printer and keeps you from getting too involved in the details. In many cases the screen printers provide the flyers and order forms needed for the salespeople so all you have to do is pass them out and make a profit! Be sure to ask the printer you select about these programs as they may not specifically advertise it.
T-Shirt Design
Now that we know what we're printing the t-shirts for, we're ready to design the print for the shirts. There are two options when considering your t-shirt design:
The screen printer can design your artwork.
You can design your artwork.
While you may choose the first option, it is still important to be informed on the design of you shirt for a couple of reasons:
-Screen Printers may charge you for designing the artwork.
-Not just anything can be printed, there are a few limitations.
-You need to decide what design elements you'd like your artwork to have (destroyed look, contemporary, traditional/conservative, classic).
-You need to decide where you'd like the design(s) printed on the shirt.
First of all when designing the artwork for your shirts, you are going to want to decide on the basics:
-What's the primary message that I want to get across with my shirts?
Do I want to simply put a logo on my t-shirts to identify members of a group with my organization or am I not looking to advertise a business, organization, etc.?
-Do I need to include specifics?
Do I need to include a date for the event, a phone number of a business, a number of a troop or pack.
This is an important one - as a screen printer I constantly have to ask businesses if they want their phone number and address included on their shirts - some businesses do not include this information but they almost always do.
-What type design elements or theme do you want to use?
-You should know whether your shirts need a more conservative look (for businesses usually), a contemporary look (for bands, youth organizations), a classic look (high schools and universities usually fall in this category) - just to name a few.
-You should decide on a graphic to use for your shirts (if any). It's often wise to see what your screen printer has to offer as they can more easily provide a higher quality image. Many screen printers either have talented graphic designers in-house, or have a membership to an artwork club where they can download graphics from the internet for a discounted rate.
-Where do I want my design printed on the shirts?
In some circles there are only a few known print locations on t-shirt: left chest print, full back, and full front prints. However, as people have become more experimental, more print locations are now offered by many screen printers. While the t-shirt printer should work with you and print wherever you like on the shirt, here are a few interesting print locations I've seen:
-Right or Left Side Print
-Right or Left High Chest Print
-Small Print Between Shoulders
-Sleeve Prints
-Underarm Print
-Lower Back Print
-All-Over Print
The purpose of your shirt usually determines where you decide to locate the prints on you shirts. Usually you wouldn't see a plumber with a side print - businesses most often opt for a conservative print on the left chest and back. However, if you're a senior in high school you might want a side print with a destroyed look for your class shirts, probably not a left chest. My best advice is to look around at other people's shirts and see what print styles/locations you like and dislike.
-Is My Artwork Good Enough?
This is a very important question to ask because if you aren't starting out with good, clean looking artwork your t-shirts or apparel will inevitably come out looking differently than you had envisioned in your mind. When screen printers print shirts they use the artwork that is given them (or created by themselves) as a master which they can use to make films which get used to make the screens for printing (read more about the screen printing process here). Knowing this, there are a couple of things to keep in mind when designing artwork to be screen printed.
- Draw your artwork with clean, black lines
In general if you are hand drawing your artwork do it with a black, felt tip pen or some other type of marker to create thick, clean lines. Use some sort of guide if you have to in order to get straight lines.
- Do not shade or color in areas on the artwork
Instead give the screen printer more than one copy of the artwork - one with only black outlines and another colored in or with the color name written in.
Keeping these in mind will save your screen printer from having to do extensive work on your artwork which should, in turn, save you from having to pay extra in artwork fees. It'll probably suprise and impress the screen printer too!
Selecting a Screen Printer
Now for the big question: How do I select a screen printer to print my shirts? Obviously this is one of the most important steps because as you've read from the article the screen printer can play an integral part in designing the artwork and consulting you on your design before it's printed. Therefore, it's usually good to pick a good printer that you feel comfortable with that you can quickly call with your printing questions. Use some or all of the following steps if you can to help in your decision of selecting a screen printer:
- Look for Local Printers
I can't stress this enough! Contrary to what you might believe, there is most definitely a screen printer in your vicinity! Many people believe that you have to pay a premium to order shirts online because there isn't a printer near them (myself included before I got into the business) - but it's simply not true! The town that I live in (yes its a town - not even big enough for a city!) has 3 screen printers!! I guarantee you that there is one near you.
Local screen printers will most likely be your best option because they will work with you the best. They may even know more about the group or organization your getting your shirts printed for than some one you found online in another state would ever know. If a screen printer is more knowledgeable about what your needs are for the shirt, the more likely they will be to offer good, solid suggestions for the design and style of the shirt - which in turn helps you!
Local screen printers may not have the cheapest prices, but many of them are extremely competitive considering the fact that they are a small business. Your best bet for pricing is to look the printers up in the phone book, give them a quick call, quickly explain what you want to them and ask for a quote (they should give you one on the spot).
-Look At Their Portfolio
An ordinary screen printer probably doesn't have an actual book filled with the previous jobs they've done. But the probably DO have a lot of their previous work hanging around their shop. If you're worried about a screen printers quality then pay a visit to their shop and take a look around. A quick visit can tell you a lot about a screen printers equipment and their capability.
-Look At Their Price
While I think you should seek a local screen printer to do your work for you, I don't want you to get taken advantage of. In general, the cost of a plain jane t-shirt, such as the one Gildan makes, is right around the $2 mark. Anything more than that is what the screen printer is making in profit. There are other costs like equipment and ink for the screen printer, but in general this rule works. Before you start badgering the screen printer for how much profit he's making consider how many pieces you're asking to be printed and how complex the design is - there can be a fair amount of time an effort put in to setting up a job and it has to be worth the screen printers while to do so.
Hopefully these tips will be of some help as you go through the selection process. There are definitely more things to consider, but they aren't as significant as the few that I chose to highlight.
Conclusion
Getting your very own design printed on your shirts can be very fun and exciting - who doesn't want the feeling of designing something yourself and then being able to proudly wear it around for everyone else to see? Good screen printers have a similar feeling - the pride of making others happy and giving them a good quality product. Hopefully these tips will help you acheive a high quality print and screen printer you are completely satisfied with!

Where does the 2006 Goodwill Good Turn Day badge cub scout uniform go?
I can not understand! I have seen the sites for inspection which give a general idea for the Cub Scouts, but is by no means detailed enough for the rest of the badges. This particularly distinctive, does not conform to any of the criteria in the inspection sites so I have no idea.
While the initial response will result in proper placement, the short answer is the right pocket.

Deer hunting? Any advice for exploration for me?!?
I've only been looking for since two years ago. I have my money in the first last season, but I sat with my husband all the time. I'm wanting to explore my own big bucks. Any advice good?! We have several properties for hunting, but I want to focus on one and find as much money in it.
Try natural "funnel" between patches of forest, swamps and areas thick. Search your hunting area on Google Earth or Yahoo Maps for an eye "birds" satellite view. Resorts beds and food sources also produce more Sightings of deer before it is too dark. You should start now, spend a few nights each week in the woods in different areas to get a good idea of what is in your forest. The advent of fingerprint camera has made it easier, some might say too easy, to explore several areas at once, and 24 / 7. Put the extra work, walk a little further than the man who comes and will be rewarded. It makes a lot of money that way, avoiding areas easy!

The Detroit Lions made history this season, but not in the right direction. They became the only team in the entire NFL history to finish the season 0-16. While this record was not a team fighting for, as did some hope to fans because it means that the team would have to go for a major overhaul in the season low. Firstly, president Matt Millen fired at midseason. Coach Rod Marinelli knew he was next and of course, the Lions cut him loose at the end of the season. Other teams who dropped their coaches at the end of the season as the Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos have already chosen replacements, and the Lions seem to be closer to elect their next leader also. Two of the front runners appear to be Todd Bowles and Jim Schwartz. Being there for the next era with Lions Detroit tickets http://www.stubhub.com/detroit-lions-tickets.
Schwartz has already reported back for a second interview with the Lions, which means a meeting with Lions owner William Clay Ford Sr. If the Lions took Schwartz, that would be a gesture that the team was looking for someone to focus on defense as is currently the defensive coordinator with the Tennessee Titans. His experience in the defensive going all the way back to his playing days at Georgetown University where he took the field as a linebacker. He started coaching in 1989 as a graduate assistant coach University of Maryland. He took the same position with the University of Minnesota in 1990. His first coaching job came in 1991 as a position coach secondary Central North Carolina. He began his NFL career with the Cleveland Browns before they moved to Baltimore as a scout and an assistant defensive. After the move, he began coaching the outside linebackers for the Ravens, in addition to being his assistant / quality control coach. He came to the Titans as their linebackers coach before being promoted to defensive coordinator in 2001. Since then, the Titans have been impressive defensive statistics, landing in the league standings.
Todd Bowles is almost like story of a player as he is a coach. After the defensive play of Temple University, played for eight seasons in the NFL with the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers. It was with the Redskins when they won the Super Bowl after the 1987 season. His first NFL job game it was not long after leaving football as it became part of the personnel department of Green Bay Packers in 1995. He went to college ranks in 1997 as defensive coordinator / secondary coach at Morehouse College. The following year he was the defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach at Grambling State. In 2000, he became the defensive backs coach of the New York Jets, leading the team to an impressive step in the defense. From there, he became the coach of the nickel defensive package with the Cleveland Browns before being promoted to secondary coach. His next position came with the Dallas Cowboys as their coach high school. He stayed until the 2008 season, where he was part of the impressive back story of the Miami Dolphins as assistant head coach / trainer high school.

Do you think I can get in schools as ... (PLEASE HELP)?
universities such as Columbia, Cornell, Brown, Duke, Dartmouth, Pennsylvania, University of Chicago, NYU, and rice? I am a student of Iranian media. Im in my first year and my first Sat scored a 2100 with an 800 in math, 630 in critical reading and 670 in writing and I plan on taking that agagin and much higher rating. In my PSAT I scored a 223 with 80 in writing, 72 in math and 71 in critical reading. The disease is very likely that a national merit scholar. Im also going to be an Eagle Scout, and am enrolled in the Baccalaureate program International in my high school (the more rigorous honors program). I am currently the captain of the football team. The only problem is that I have done the best notes (still and B), a custom most likely be higher than 10% in my class. Definitely top quarter class (1000 +). I have a good chance of being accepted Although grades?
