What are the greatest needs in the community? (Worldwide, USA, California or Bay Area)?

I am a high school student and I'm doing a Girl Scout Gold Award (a major independent service project). Although I have a lot of ideas about how they want to organize events or programs help the community, I am having a difficult time by narrowing of these ideas. There are many other causes and organizations around the world who need help. Your input means a lot. :)

Tip Top Job Interview: All are equal - Important!

Have you been told to relax, this is an informal interview? In the sequence of personal we have learned that there is no such thing. Taking into account all types of interview as a formal matter, serious, then it will always be the best of you, will give your best performance and most likely will land the job.

Similarly, if you let your guard down and focus of the interview in an overly relaxed, informal manner than good may have provided the interviewer the reason you stop the war. Why? Because you can come across as too relaxed, or say something out of turn or out of character. If you are called by a recruiter or employer, then consider the conversation to a serious interview and are trying to get facts and information about you, and are seriously in size to each response.

# 1 being on guard.

The way in which an informal interview could be used can be misleading and done on purpose. You may be at a social function, perhaps a lunch trade association and professional partner can start asking all sorts of questions related to their professional background and experience. You may interpret this as someone who has great interest in you, and might be the case, but is likely that the person begins to conduct an interview, informal and do not even know.

# 2 Give thoughtful answers.

If you take this into account and recognize as an opportunity to respond with thoughtful answers that are causing that are interesting then you'll be well on its way to the next step in his career. This is an excellent way that many recruiters use and candidates have no idea that they are in the spotlight. However, a recruiter can rapidly in size and if you provides the kind of answer you're looking for then you have a better chance to land the next job you covet.

# 3 Focus.

As flattered as could be when someone starts to question him many curious about you and your professional background, accept the terms you are being interviewed formally. This way you will be in the mood to give strong responses, responses that promote follow-up questions and incite further interviewer experience.

# 4 Enjoy social settings.

Not only recruiters take advantage of social settings, but so do smart owners and managers of successful companies. It is a great way to explore future employees. So it is good to join professional associations, attend social gatherings, and treat everyone as if they are beside your head because maybe one day they will be. Or at least could be the help you climb the next rung on his career. Always be on your best behavior, people are noticing. You especially want to always put your best foot forward around to colleagues who want to be associated with or wish to work in the future.

# 5 Watch your manners.

That said, watch what you say, eat and drink. Stay away from controversial topics like religion and politics. Do not tell off-color jokes or stories. Similarly, avoid gossip and rumors. Always speak well of others. Find a safe spot, common and keep your conversation along the tracks. Keep an eye on your table manners and do your alcohol intake at social gatherings. If you believe that getting drunk and acting silly makes you popular and gains friends, are deluded in the business world. Remember, people are always watching you, taking mental notes and make judgments about you, your actions and character.

# 6 Count of good impressions.

When you make a good impression with professional colleagues, do not go unnoticed or forgotten easily. Want to get in the situation that the next time you're looking for a job you can call the president of a strong competition and your call will gladly accepted, since they are eager to learn that are available to join your company.

Ideas to raise money for a Girl Scout trip?

I am looking for ideas on how to raise money for a Girl Scout trip to Houston, Tx for a convention The Girl Scouts in 2011. I myself and my soldiers lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. Any idea will help.

I do not know if you are near a community or not, but in our community have done a very good fundraiser and raised a lot in this way: "We've had a weight watch" Biggest Loser "competition over eight weeks where people could enter individually or in groups. It costs $ 5 to register for each individual or $ 2 each for a group. The idea was when you are registered to go to get his weight (all confidential of course, only one person did the weighing) and every Tuesday to all who come to the center of the community weighed, and this is where we raised the money. For every pound gained a person had to pay $ 2 for a group, say a person in the group gained a pound, everyone in the group would pay $ 2. In addition, each week we gave each person a booklet on the facts and myths about diets and weight loss and a healthy recipe low fat. I think it was a great idea to help people stay active and keep fit and healthy, while raising money for a good cause (paying to get a real motivator!)

What are the Girl Guiding UK attitudes toward homosexuality?

My girlfriend has been involved in driving for a few years but with it. We will definitely act proffesional in the camp and not act as a couple like this wouldnt be appropriate for any couple. Just wondering what the network president would think about it? The two are Christians and attend church fairly regularly.

I do not think there is a problem, British law prevents to discriminate on grounds of sexuality.

How Christian are the Boy scouts of america?

My little brother does nothing but play video games, chats online, and watches TV all day. I want to get him into something like the Boy Scouts of America but I'm not sure how Christian it is these days. Are there any Christian (preferably Evangelical) organizations like the BSA? I know about the Christian Service Brigade, but there aren't any in our area. Are there any other Evangelical groups or clubs like those?

If your referring to the Boy Scounts like the one in the mormon church- not Christian at all. They teach mormon doctrine

Looking for an old silly song from WKYC Cleveland?

Long ago, in the mid-60's, the afternoon hosts at WKYC radio had a penchant for a silly song in which a pair of guys sang "Blippity Blap Blap" and a couple other silly phrases, interjected with non-sequiturs like "Girl Scout cookies!" Does anyone have a clue about the artists or the name of the song? Has anyone else ever even heard it? LOL

No, and I HATE that! Lily Tomlin had a little piece on Laugh-In about making the letter A in the alphabet cereal factory, and I haven't even been able to find anyone who remembers it.
