What are the odds of my being accepted into UCLA?

Currently, I am a young man with an average of 4.0 count all AP classes. this year I have come mainly from B, but they were all AP classes. I took all honors and AP classes my school offered. AP classes I have taken are history Europe, us. history, chemistry, English and Spanish. next year I'm taking ap calc, English, physics, government and the economy. Also I'm in cross country and track and I am in Girl Scouts. I also play piano and i am working in a community service club.i think I'm very set for extracurricular activities but I'm worried about my grades, because most of them have been by my SAT are only about average. What do you think are the chances of me entering the UCLA?

Depends on what you mean by SAT to be "average." These are the average results of students admitted to UCLA. Test Results - 25/75 Percentile Sat Critical Reading: 570 / 680 Sat Math: 610 / 720 SAT Writing: 580/690 If you fall into that range, then I would say you have a very good opportunity, since you have so many extracurricular activities and has given honors and AP classes. Make sure you take your time to write your application essay to increase your chances.

Hi, this is my most important question so far?

hello, my name is Steve. I'm 6'6, i play basketball in high school, and I think I'm good enough for professionals. I'm going to college in two months and need an idea of where to go. When in college or later, somehow, I want to be drafted into the NBA. Leaving aside the ability at this time, what the university should I go to many scouts to go, and how to enter the NBA? I am of Dutch descent, so you think you could get into the NBA from another country?, Or should I go to college and was drafted from there? How it works How do people become professional basketball players? Please explain to me, because I'm confused and I have to act quickly. A lot of schools want me, including USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, etc. I do not know how the system works. I'm asking you to tell me how I can go for and where, in college or in another country?

Go to UC Berkeley and know that if they enter the NBA, then good for you, but make sure that you yourself set up with a plan B for the best school you can get into.

Forget the NBA playoffs ... DRAFT Let's play!

While the basketball teams in the NBA are struggling through the playoffs, those of us whose teams did not make the cut are just waiting for the Larry O'Brien Trophy to be passed to LeBron or Kobe, so we can move to what is really important: The NBA draft.

Many basketball fans the likes of adding excitement to the process by going to places like sports.legendz.com and laying down the money that they think the basketball teams will draft. To make these predictions, need to be familiar not only with the best players in college basketball, but Current trends also in the NBA, the NBA draft and needs special equipment.

In the NBA, not only are the GMs decision making in the project, but the top basketball coaches have much to say about who gets elected. They know that fit their style of play. For example, if you are trying to decide what a fast-break, running style, will team project, you may want to get away from the 7'5, 350 lbs player from Slovenia, though his companion at the bar Sports insists that knows this guy will be one of the top basketball recruits.

Although perennial basketball schools like North Carolina, Duke and Connecticut will always have its fair share of high selections, teams seem to cling to the memories of great games. Twenty-eight of the 10 selections in the last ten years were among the teams that played in the Final Four.

While the current basketball programs get a lot of love from NBA scouts, do not sleep in emerging international market. Since Yao Ming was drafted in 2002, twelve of the lottery picks have come from abroad.

Magazine Reviews: Sports Illustrated

With over 55 years experience in professional sports, Sports Illustrated (SI) is a weekly magazine that has been a mainstream success featuring colourful photos, insightful reporting and inserts of sports cards. Originally published in 1954, Sports Illustrated illustrates the power of professional sports covering thoroughly the NFL, Baseball, NHL, NBA, College Football, College Basketball, NASCAR, Golf, Boxing, Horse Racing, Soccer, and Tennis.

Achieving a circulation of 28 million copies per year, Sports Illustrated covers not only the conventional sports one would expect to see in its pages, but also the more unusual sports such as falconry or rock climbing. From it start, Sports Illustrated featured several innovations that gave the magazine prestige and made it a must-have for any true sports fan. Introducing the liberal use of color photos, SI featured colourful, action pages that make its readers feel like they are actually there when the event is taking place. Featuring also the scouting reports with the inclusion of World Series Preview and New Year's Day bowl game round-up, SI increased the watching of games on TV. Also, Tex Maule, Robert Creamer and Dan Jenkins joined SI as regular columnists, while the magazine featured High school football Player of the Month awards. SI also features standard segments in each issue referred to as Departments. "Faces in the crowd" honours the accomplishments of talented amateur athletes, while "The Point after" covers anything in the world of sports as a back-page column.

Sports Illustrated makes everything possible. With its well-written articles keeps the interest high, while with frequent statistics, the latest scores and breaking stories, plus interviews and profiles of hot-shot athletes it remains the one-stop source for inclusive sports coverage.

Personally, apart from its excellent photography, I highly credit Sports Illustrated for its articles. Featuring great columnists and storytellers, the magazine uses academic vocabulary and features human interest stories that have often provided me with background information in history, geography, and science. For example, the story of John Akii-Bua, apart from the athlete's bio has also given a lot of information about the history of Uganda. Or articles about NBA that make me understand the geography of the United States while following the East and the West Coast Division. Or articles about training that provide physiology tips.

Sports Illustrated remains on the top of the sports aficionados' picks for a sports magazine. Every week, it gets me in the heart of sports, with stunning action photography and profound coverage. I would even dare to say that Sports Illustrated is brilliantly enlightening. And it's not too much, even for a sports magazine.

And this is so needless after all.
