You visited a few times and I would appreciate your thoughts on this post, why not comment?

The chances of me entering West Point (USMA)?
I'm currently a sophomore in high school right now. My average weighted is 4.05 and 3.7 weighted and I'm not taking AP courses. I participate in baseball, Key Club, YMCA Volunteer, National Honor Society ... I would like be an Eagle Scout, but I fear it is too late for that. I also plan to attend the Summer Leaders Seminar. I am decently athletic but I am training 5 days a week to maximize my results of physical examinations. I also have a potential recommendations (now retired) and a current Alumni The lieutenant colonel who teaches there. I have not taken my ACT / SAT, but I hope to do very well. The main things I need to work on my being demonstrated leadership. (Gov't School is out of the question ... just not popular) So if I manage to secure a nomination from Congress, what do you think the odds of admission are offered? And how can I maximize my leadership opportunities?
If you secure the appointment of staff of a congressman which follow the guidelines established by the military academy you are applying, you have a very good opportunity. The key here is to get a nomination through his deputy. Your staff will have a list of requirements to be met. If you do not meet them, then you will not receive a Congressional Nomination. Go visit the office Congresswoman when you become a Junior High School. Log in school governance in any position. The popularity is also part of the address. If you do not win any school choice, do not worry, at least you tried. Try each year in High School. Consider working in the school year book staff. Believe it or not, Leadership is not something you learn. It's something to show for being a good example for others. You lead others without bias or prejudice. More importantly, you when others leave doubters. Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Marine Corps - Retired
