Looking for a great place to go with the Boy Scouts?
Looking for a good place to go for a week or so with my Boy Scout troop from Cincinnati, Ohio. We already been to Yellowstone and the USS Yorktown, and we are looking for something new.
Bradley Hello: I am glad the search for Troop activities. Your Council Service Center must have a great guide to visit areas that are close to home and are approved for Scouts. Your troops might be in purchasing a copy of Scout Camps USA. This is a guide that a Scout together that outlines all the offerings of all Scout-owned assets in the U.S.. Another interesting site is http://bsacamps.org/. troop took a canoe trip north 10 years ago, cost was about $ 150/person at the time. We launched from Ely, MN, and canoed transboundary waters. Five days in water, four nights in tents, the shipowner supplied canoes, food and tents. Only brought clothes and fishing poles. (those who had to buy fish MN license).
