Mauser 48 or 24/47 with Leupold rings very high???
I am looking to buy a Mauser as a project in late summer. I think it would be an excellent range of big game rifle and fills a niche I needed. I do not want a range or a browser Urges S & K-mount. Keep in original condition that is not a priority for me, because it is "until death do us part." My main concern is keeping the military side, but a reliable sporting rifle. Obvouisly there are better options as a Howa, Stevens, moss, etc., but I have enough thanks to those already. Question: If a Mauser 48 is drilled and tapped, it will bolt up and clear with the Leupold "extra high" rings??? beforehand
The bolt 48 has become so all you have to do is get modified to install security in the rear of the bolt. There is an interesting article in a newsletter Gun (sometime last year) about a guy who had a team with a scope and how it was fired. You can not go wrong with what he is doing, but that last more than two.

How much do you pay someone to sew patches?
I am a cub scout leader, and it seems that many parents Scout clubs, sewing is a lost art. In fact, many seem afraid of her. 59-year-old, Dennis L. Rader was married and father of two and a compliance officer in Park City, Kansas. He was responsible for enforcing municipal regulations, as animal control, housing problems, zoning, permits and enforcement of nuisance cases.
