Cub Scout den meeting activities?

It’s my turn to lead our guide tiger this week’s meeting. Someone has a good business idea for our herd small (6 children)?

Hi there! One thing we did with our Tiger den a couple of years ago was to make Halloween Goody bags – We have all supplies at Michaels (including canvas bags orange acrylic paint and foam stamps). One thing you need to be aware of pupils from first grade acrylic paint, however, is permanent in the fabric … , Ie their brand new uniforms of Cub Scouts … so it is good to have old clothing or carry smocks. (We used old shirts to cover the boys.) Or, if you want to work in progress, you could do one of the requirements of the Paper Tiger. One of my favorite was a requirement 1D – Make a scrapbook (which the kids bring in photos and then give them 3-hole punched paper, markers and stickers, etc. and let them have at it. Then tie the string through the holes and voila, a little scrapbook!) Is also a good time of year (depending on where you live) to condition 5D (Make a leaf rubbing) and / or 5G (Take a walk with your Den). Going to see it always good to do if you do not want small 6 Squirrels first graders throughout the house! :) A website I found useful in our day Super Cub Scouting is http://www.usscouts.org, the Scouts USA website Service. It is a compilation of all things, Boy Scouts, with close attention to the Cubs. Another useful site just for Tiger Cubs is http://www.boyscouttrail.com/cub-scouts/tiger-scouts.asp – Scroll down to the bottom to find links to songs, games, skits, and other crazy things that is age appropriate for first graders. Whatever you do, I’m sure it will be fun and the kids have a blast. Good luck – and be sure to have fun yourself! :)
